Nozomi Hiroyama Announces Retirement

NEW YORK (August 31, 2012) – A former Japanese National Team player Nozomi Hiroyama whom LeadOff Sports Marketing supported has announced his retirement.
The 35-year-old represented his native Japan in 2001. Hiroyama established himself as one of the top midfielders in Japan playing with Cerro Porteño becoming the first Japanese to play and score in the 2001 Copa Libertadores.
Hiroyama is considered one of the most global Japanese footballers while also playing in Portugal with Braga, and in France with Montpellie.
Richmond Kickers was his 9th club (6th country) where Hiroyama finished his career, and he helped the side advance to the Playoffs twice during his time in the US.
